Recognised for Local Utilisation of Nigerian Raw Materials

The wider Abod business has received recognition from the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) for its contribution to the local utilisation of raw materials in Nigeria. The business has received an Award for Excellence in Local Utilization of Raw Material in Nigeria from RMRDC.

The relationship with RMRDC has also extended into cashew-processing development. Abod Success was involved in a cashew-processing initiative with the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, with RMRDC supporting capacity building and equipment for cashew processing.

Experience Within the Cashew Industry

Our experience extends into the wider cashew industry through participation in industry networks and activities focused on the development of cashew processing and value addition. The wider Abod business has participated in the African Cashew Alliance network, reflecting its involvement in the broader cashew-processing and trading community. Our work has also focused on developing opportunities for Nigerian cashews beyond commodity-based trade and towards value-added processing, branding and finished products.

Prepared for International Markets

Our experience extends beyond the Nigerian market, with activities involving the processing and export of cashews, kernels and finished products. International trade also requires appropriate documentation and coordination. Depending on the shipment and destination, this can include certificates of origin, phytosanitary certificates and customs documentation. Our experience with these requirements supports our ability to work with commercial partners involved in international supply.

Quality begins with the selection of the raw material and continues through processing, grading, preparation, packaging and delivery. Our experience across these stages allows us to approach quality as an ongoing process rather than a single inspection at the end of production.
